jackeyboy the lift is gaurented to work 100%. the reason i bought this lift and not the cheaper ones on ebay that sold for $250.00 to $300.00 is one the others were all on the east cost. 2 i could only get one person to ship and that was the one that sold for $300 plus $65.00 to ship. the other ones although good buys came with the wrong type docking devise. i called perforamance modilty out of portland or. they are a buch of jerks very unpleasant and very rude and not willing to help over the phone. i will not use them at all due to the way they treated me. there is another portland or suplier on brunos web sight and not care medical lets not go there lots of problems and issuses. the other place was great help. they did not want to try and sell me anything. infact they sugested i find out what the chair weighed before bought a used lift are i did anything. as they did not want to see me spend a bunch of money than come to find out it would not work with my new wheelchair. bruno was the one that told them that they thought my new chair would exseed 400lbs. so after you response i went back on ebay and found the lift i bought. the seller wanted $475.00 buy it now plus $145.00 for shipping. well i emailed the seller and exsplain my sistuashion and exsplained i could only pay $400.00 with shipping. the seller emailed back and they would take $400.00. so i am the proud onwer of a bruno vsl 670 curbsider lift. also i called bruno and i found out the lift was made in januray of 2004. also bruno is sending me an owners manual for the lift free of charge.also talking with brunoi found lift is just barely 5 years old. the lift was built in january of 2004. the lift looks like new in the photos. the lift is also the fully inclosed motor type designed to be used out side. this was another selling point as i have to have one that can be used out side as i have 1948 ihc pickup my buddy is building for me as my new vechicle. my 1970 ford bronco just does not cut it any more my back just will not take the way it rides any more. also i am not far from more back surgery. when i finally break down and let them operate there going to fuse the rest of my lower back . this will not be really good as i already have 5 fused vertabrae and spinal cord compreshion from an injury were i compreesed 50% of my spinal cord and compreshion burst fracture 3 vertbrae. so with this all said all i have to due know is waite to get my new chair. than i will have to buy new are find used mounting brakect for my new tdx sp that will work with my lifts docking devise. so i am looking for brakets that bolt to the chair if you have any are know of any please let me know. the docking devise i have and what my chair uses is the speader bar type. it has 4 steatbelt type latchs on the spreader bar. so what i need in the clip part of the seat belt that bolts onto the chair and clip into the sealt belt latch on the docking devise. so is there a place here on the sight to post for equiment wanted and if so how do i do it. thanks much for all you great knolege and help. robert

Default bad incorrect info recived on the wheelchairjunkie forum

first let me say the wheelchairjunkie is a good forum.

but i just got some bad and misinformed info from on that sight.

i am not going to say how did it as i think they are speaking of how they feel with out knowing all the facts.

heres what i was told and other are being told the same.

that is that you can not use an interior lift like a bruno curbside are anything compatalbe to it to lift and stowe a power wheelchair with any type of rehad seating power are non power as they are to large ans weigh to much.

well i find that hard to belive when bruno told me the lift would work and they even make a docking devise for the chair in question.

so with the said. the chair in question is a quantuam 6000z hd with motion concepts power tilt/recline and power elevating pivot plus leg rests .

i asked jackeyboy1 already on the weight of a tdxsp with power tilt/elevate and power elevating leg rests. as bruno was not sure but they thought it may weigh over the 400lb limt.

well jackeyboy1 told me the base should not weigh over 225lbs and the power seating should be around 125lbs.

well the tdxsp base is 277lbs with battiers and 179 with out.

so if you add up the waite of the chair with battiers and power seating your at 402lbs.

thats only 2 lbs over 400lbs so i belive that the bruno vsl 670 curbsider will work just fine for a tdxsp with power seating.

the weight of the chair is straight off the invacare sight.

as for the q 6000 z hd is weighs less than the tdxsp.

the q 6000 z hd has a base weight of 147 and the battries weight like 102lbs are less.

but if we use 102lbs plus the chair base weight plus 125 for the power seating were looking at a total weight 379lbs wich is under the 400lb weight limit.

so i can not see how the bruno vsl 670 lift will not work with the q 6000 z hd.

thanks robert
