Default Safety shut off switch

My 2 year old has figured out how to turn on the chair it took her about 2 seconds. is there anyway to install a switch or a set of commands on the controler to shut the chair down besides the on- off switch? please help

What year and model chair do you have? MK5 or 6 electronics

There seems to be a few threads on this topic, I've suggested Standby mode and another option on your other thread http://www.invacareboards.com/forums...=2366#post2366 I'm not sure of any other options

I've sent ideas to Mike at Invacare last year about having some kind of cut out lock where only the user knows about it so they are looking into it as a possibility as a future upgrade.

If you have a MPJ joystick (four drives and LCD display)
You can plug any switch into the right port and it will turn the chair on and off. Hide the switch and only you will be able to turn it on.

I knew someone could figure it out! now if you could help me out as to what kink of switch , where to get one I would really appreciate it. un fortuinitly I am on way to many meds to figure alot of things out but that sounds great thankyou so much,I really dont want to squish my grand kids or them taking off in my chair Randy

[Went to my provider today and the guys had an old end from a charger case solved!

Looks like this can only be done on MK6 MPJ joystick controllers as the MK5 only has 1 left port.

I'm glad to see there was another solution to this
