Thumbs up Show Your Ability Show 2008

I went to the Show Your Ability road show yesterday and it was pretty good. I got to see some back cushions that i personally am interested in, which were the Motion Concepts backs.

Invacare unfortunately didn't have a TDX SR on demo as it's arriving tomorrow, so hopefully the TDX SR will be at the other shows. Invacare did have a 'pimped up' TDX SP though and WOW!!! Rims painted gold, castor forks painted gold, lights, radio and speakers, PSP, GP, seat decoration, 8 Que ball on top of joystick controller etc.. Below are some photos

TDX SP Pimped up with lights, radio, PSP, GP (global positioning) etc

Back Cushion

Lights and view of castors (one sided forks were added)

Gold painted forks

Joystick controller, PSP, GP (global positioning)

Radio

Radio and speaker, close up

Speakers at the rear

Speakers on headrest

On/Off switches for lights etc

I think the pimped up TDX SP is way kewl!! I even saw a video on the PSP working and the GP was all go too. The music cd was way fitting to the pimped up chair too. What it would need is a little remote to turn the radio on and off and change stations etc, and have the lights on/off button on the remote too.

Invacare also had information about the new YDX Family Series, cushions, backs, beds etc.

Too bad they didn't add a fog horn - I've wished for one a few times...

That chair is just plain mental. And someone explain, why do you need a SEPERATE GPS when the PSP has a GPS add-on. Talk about wasteful of space and power. Oh and that subwoofer on the bottom. Roll over a puddle and instant ZZZZZZT. Definitely an impractical chair for daily use. It also looks quite, gaudy. The 8 Ball joystick "cap" definitely would look good on any chair!

Hey! This is a Stealth headrest here, you are not supposed to see me. Do I have this thing turned on correctly. Grrrrrrr, Stealth! Why didn't you show me how to turn on Stealth mode?

Very nice chair. Do you have a seperate power supply for the lights and radio?
If so where can you put a spare battery? Id like to do some mods to my chair as well.
