Thumbs up Invacare Release At Medtrade 2007

Invacare Makes the "Impossible Stop Here" at Medtrade 2007
with the release of three new powerchairs, Respiratory equipment and more.

The Invacare Respiratory Division will introduce the new Invacare(r) XPO2(tm) extremely portable oxygen concentrator. The XPO2 is the latest introduction to Invacare's proven line of innovative home oxygen technologies. Weighing only six pounds, the XPO2 will offer excellent reliability, durability and clinical performance. Invacare is awaiting FDA clearance, and shipments will begin soon thereafter.

The Invacare Rehab Division will launch a new series of TDX(r) custom power wheelchairs. The three new models - the TDX(r) SR, TDX(r) SC and TDX(r) Spree - are based on the successful TDX(r) SP platform, representing commonality of parts and innovative features across the board. These custom power chairs offer a complete custom power rehab solution for providers from one source, thereby reducing the providers' operating expenses.

TDX SP vs TDX SR - Different motor package
The TDX SP = 4 Pole Motors @ 5.8 mph/10km, wheelbase @ 24"
The TDX SR = HDTTGB Motors @ 7 mph/12km, smart actuators, wheelbase @ 25.5"
The TDX SC = 2 Pole Motors, chair 3" shorter than the TDX SP and with the same width 24". This chair has the same wheels as an M71 (10.5").
The TDX Spree which has the same base as the TDX SC but 12 - 16 in width and 12 - 18" in depth adjustment. Its available in either manual or power tilt.
The chairs will be less expensive to fit the funding criteria in the US and in NZ.

More detailed information on each of the three powerchairs will soon be under 'Powerchair Updates' so keep an eye out for that from KiwiJenn.
